LOCAL FINANCIAL CONSULTANT SUING WELLS FARGO BANK
|
Cupertino - A lawsuit has been filed against Wells Fargo Bank by a financial consulant in hopes of getting his position back at a Cupertino branch. Daniel Fisher says he was transferred after he blew the whistle on a co-worker who was allegedly steering customers from CDs and saving accounts into unsuitable mutual funds.
Jason Zuckerman, a Principle at the Employment Law Group is representing Fisher. He says Wells Fargo retaliated against his client and took a number of actions, which included being transferred to another branch.
OSHA investigated the claims and ordered Wells Fargo to no only reinstate Fisher at his former position, but to also award him compensatory damages.
Chris Hammond with Wells Fargo says that in the meantime, the company has appealed the findings and has filed a request to stay the reinstatment order. He says the company does not agree with Fisher's comments that the bank tried to ruin his reputation.
The lawsuit filed by Fisher is seeking enforcement of OSHA's order.
